this is how I started (self taught been playing for over 2 years and my most 2 difficult songs I can play are (song of storms, white stripes - 7 nation army. So yeah play easy stuff but add a hard one in every so often and when you complete that hard one keep playing it to keep improving it.ĭon't worry about other things like bellows control, volume etc. when you play alot of songs using the same bass rythm eg. so yeah my first suggestion would be forget about how accurate you are about notes for each hand but make sure to focus on co-ordination (this may not be as much as an issue as it was for me when I started as you say you already play music). when I started playing row row row the boat was really tuff (first instrument I ever played) but after I managed to do that it was, ode to joy, wallace and grommit (I played the bass hand using only c major, g major and f major and when it came to playing other chords I didn't bother I just wanted to get co-ordination first), katyusha etc. that way you can always enjoy it whilst progressing at the same time. whilst you are doing this learn some easier songs as well. i'd suggest not picking the most difficult song in the world but pick something thats a challenge for you and keep pushing yourself on that song. watch out though sometimes it can be slightly off with timing or just a wrong chord in general from here I'd just try to do that bit from ear.Īs for beginning songs well although i'm going to be the one that is frowned upon here. just copy the url of the video to chordify and it will give you the chords. personally I use synthesia video's on youtube as well as chordify for the chords. Well if you know what notes mean what then your already half way there. u/HatSolid7464's resources for beginning accordion playersħ9 Classical Accordion Scores (thanks /u/sophotrope!).u/sebaskolk's guide for new accordion players.Keep it nice, keep it accordion-related!.Identification posts must use the "Identification" post flair.
